Team Translation Since 2003
Logan Kennedy (Canadian) and Leonhard Unglaub (German) are the founders and core translators of Kennedy-Unglaub Translations. We began translating together while completing our degrees in philosophy (Logan) and English, music and linguistics (Leonhard), and later turned this work into a full-time business.
We work together on every project, drawing on our competencies as native speakers of English and German respectively as well as on our general linguistic skills and collaborative abilities. Over the years, we have translated numerous exhibition catalogues, academic articles and books, plays, websites, family histories and more. We are honoured to have worked with internationally renowned institutions and publishers such as the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Hirmer Verlag, Palgrave Macmillan, Schott Music and the theater publisher Felix Bloch Erben, to name just a few.
In the case of a larger project that requires more than two translators, we collaborate with other professional translators from our network. Working together, we ensure consistent style and terminology.
